Subscriptions FAQ

WHAT ARE SUBSCRIPTIONS?
Users can subscribe to a single eTool lesson (e.g. Office L1Q - Office Level 1 Quality), or multiple selections. To make the multiple selections easy, eTool lessons are bundled into ToolSets (e.g. OfficeLXQ - Office all levels Quality). The ToolSets are based on the lesson location (e.g. Office, Workshop etc.), and the topic (e.g. Health & Safety (H), Environment(E) or Quality(Q)). This makes it simple to for example subscribe to all of the Office eTools about Health & Safety (Office LXH), or all avaliable locations about OHS/WHS (ToolSet LXH).

There are several Free sessions available for trial; every user has an automatic access to these once they register.

HOW LONG ARE SUBSCRIPTIONS?
Subscriptions are for a single user and a 1 year term

The 1 year term counts from the order date; this means if a user buys one product today and another one a month later, the 2 annual subscriptions will expire separately on the relevant anniversary dates.

WHY SHOULD I BUY A SUBSCRIPTION?
Online eTool lessons offer an exciting way to engage people in HSEQ topics. Apart from OHS/WHS hazards, Environmental aspects and Quality problems, users are presented with unexpected situations they have to address.

WHEN CAN I ACCESS MY eTOOL LESSONS?
As soon as the online payment transaction is approved, you will automatically gain access to your subscribed lessons online. You can undertake these in your own time and convenience. For the current products line, each eTool lesson needs to be completed in one go.

WHAT DO I GET FOR COMPLETING A LESSON?
Apart from experiencing a completely new way of learning about the HSEQ topics, on a completion (or a time limit expiry, where relevant), the eTool lesson concludes with a downloadable certificate in a PDF format. The certificate includes the lesson results with User's name and Company name; in addition, the certificate format allows the company HSEQ manager (or any other nominated person) to decide at what level his/her employees pass (e.g. 80% score minimum), before he/she signs off the certificate as a record of completed training.

The Manager can therefore progressively lift the required minimal score level to increase the user's knowledge level. Here is what a sample certificate looks like:

The User name and Company name are embedded in each User's eTool lesson certificate and cannot be changed.

CAN I RUN THE SESSIONS ON ANY DEVICE?
To provide users with the best possible experience, there are some basic requirements.
Our eTool lessons require mouse input. In most lessons, you need left and right hand clicks, sometimes both of them simultaneously. You cannot control the session over a touch screen device, such as a tablet. Please refer to the Tablets / touch screens forum post for the reasons and explanation. Further, eTool lessons are audio rich. We use sounds to make the lessons exciting, but also to give you various clues. For that reason, you need a speaker. But do not panic; a standard, in-built speaker in an ordinary PC is just fine. If you can hear the familiar sound on your PC login, that is all you need.
In summary, there are some minimal system requirements for the hardware (your PC). Please refer to our System Requirements for further information.

I HAVE A LIMITED BUDGET, HOW CAN I SAVE MONEY?
ToolSets offer a discounted subscription compared to individual eTool lessons. The average saving of a ToolSet compared to purchasing each of the same eTool lessons individually, ranges from 10-20% saving. In addition, we offer volume discounts for Multiple user subscription.

Our Terms & Conditions contain further details on the Subscription terms.
